Western States Trail

The Western States trail, in its entirety, traverses from Salt Lake City to Sacramento, but there are shorter sections near Olympic Valley that make excellent moderate day hikes. This trail's claim to fame is the 100-mile endurance foot race from Olympic Valley to Auburn, California, but many hikers are content with the 6.5 mile loop around Olympic Valley's Snow King peak.
