Polly Triplat offers embodiment practices to open your awareness to the sacred potential you have in your body, mind and soul. Weaving tapestries of music with movement and creative inquiry, a dance is born.  We learn to thread the wisdom from our dance with our desires for connection, community and spirit in our every day lives. Polly has over 20 years of experience in somatic healing practices including Feldenkrais®, NIA, Soulmotion, and Open Floor Conscious Dance. She has a healing practice in Truckee California where she offers Visionary Craniosacral Work, Therapeutic Massage, Reiki, Shamanic Healing and SoulCollage®. www.pollytriplat.com

Polly recently completed her Open Floor teacher training and is now an internationally recognized embodiment teacher. The Truckee/Tahoe community is fortunate to have such a committed and resourced teacher offering this essential movement practice. This is a wonderful opportunity for you to deepen your awareness, open to your potential and have a joyful evening connecting with community. This is a dance practice where we open our embodied intelligence, we are able to stay present, feel vital and alive, our mind is clear and able to perceive choices. Our perspective is more likely to be broader; we understand we are not the only human struggling on the planet today.

Polly Triplat will be leading a Conscious Dance workshop at the third annual Restorative Arts & Yoga Festival, May 31-June 2, 2019.

What is Open Floor?

Open Floor is a healing practice of movement, dance and the arts. We learn to track thoughts, stories and patterns that hold us back and turn them into creative fuel. Using universal movement principles, such as breath, grounding and centering, our aim is to become more embodied or at home, for this beautiful ride of life, present for anything and everything – loving, losing, learning, creating, colliding, connecting.

Open Floor is a dance meditation practice for building muscular and emotional intelligence, mindfulness and soulfulness. We cultivate the forces that fuel our creativity, our connections and our ability to change, which we all know is the only constant in life.

Why We Move

Pure and simple, we were born to move. When we move, we feel better. When we don’t, we literally atrophy – physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Life is a constant balancing act, navigating both obstacles and opportunities. When we move we practice becoming nimble, open to change and more comfortable in our own skin.

What’s In It for Us?

Conscious dance practice helps us move and include the juicy times of joyful release, as well as the challenging moments. To be fluid, flexible and free to experience all our wild and subtle bits is one of the greatest life skills we can give ourselves.
