Sledding at Granlibakken
PLANNED OPENING DAY OF DECEMBER 13th weather permitting.
Skip the lines-purchase your sledding tickets online!
Looking to get on the slopes this season? Granlibakken’s sled hill is the perfect place to spend a winter day.
Lodging guests receive 50% off sledding/skiing tickets at Granlibakken. An unlimited sledding pass is $100 per person per season.
Granlibakken recommends and provides plastic saucers. Customers may not bring their own saucers or sleds. We do not allow straight sleds because they turn and appear to cause accidents. Analysis of past accidents shows that straight sleds are common contributors to injuries.
For safety and insurance purposes, Granlibakken does not allow toboggans, sliding devices with metal or wood (metal and wood cause injuries on collision), inflatable sliding devices (too fast), or snow skates. We also do not allow more than two (2) sleds or saucers linked together on the sled hill.
Parents who choose to sled down with their children are recommended to have each person on their own saucer and to link the child to the parent with the adult’s legs.

Guests have easy access to popular cross-country trailheads which provide miles of ungroomed Lake Tahoe skiing and snowshoeing terrain. Equipment rentals are available at our rental shop. Our warming hut is open 7 days a week to help keep the chill off. A 1.5 mile trail around the property and an access trail to Paige Meadows is groomed (flat-groomed, without stride-skiing tracks) when the weather and snow conditions permit.
