Tahoe City Shopping

When you go shopping in Tahoe City, you're in for an entirely unique experience — you won't find any national chains in this mountain town! Quaint shops line the downtown Tahoe City strip, so put on your walking shoes and explore everything from locally made gifts and art, to high-end denim and mountain home décor. Listed below are a few of our favorite Tahoe City shops to get you started.

North Tahoe Arts ARTisan Shop – A great spot to buy souvenirs crafted by local Tahoe City artisans. Jewelry, Lake Tahoe photography, cards, artwork and more.

Boatworks Mall – This one-stop for all your shopping needs includes more than 11 different stores at the water's edge.

Tahoe Tree Company/McBride's Nursery – Located on the road to Granlibakken, this shop is easy to spot. Plants, pottery, books, home décor, jewelry and more.

Tahoe Dave's – Ski and snowboard rentals, sales and gear, with two locations that cater to Lake Tahoe skiers' and snowboarders' specific needs.

Porter's Sports – Ski and snowboard rentals, sales and gear, including snow boots and Reef sandals in summer. Check out the main store in downtown Tahoe City, as well as the outlet at the Y intersection.

Kalifornia Jean Bar – William Rast, Rock Revival and more top brands, with a customized fit at the jean bar.

Tahoe T-Shirtery – All things Lake Tahoe: t-shirts, souvenirs, calendars and postcards to send your friends. Two locations, one on the main drag and one in Boatworks Mall.

Alpine Antiquer – A true mountain antique shop with loads of vintage ski items.
