Housekeeping Manager

Housekeeping Manager Duties Include But Not Limited To:

  • Assist in managing the daily operation of the housekeeping function by overseeing the cleaning and sanitation of the assigned guest room and common area section. Ensure accurate assignment of rooms to housekeeping staff.
  • Supervise the activities and monitor the performance of the Housekeeping team in the assigned guest room and common area section. Supervisory duties include interviewing, hiring, evaluating, training and disciplining.
  • Conduct frequent room inspections to ensure established cleaning standards are upheld.
  • Ensure that all furnishings, hallways, vending areas, and storage rooms are well maintained.
  • Conduct inventories to ensure adequate stock of supplies. Prepare purchase orders for required supplies.
  • Manage maintenance system work orders and documentation.
  • Coordinate and facilitate any repairs for maintenance deficiencies.
  • Monitor chemical usage for proper compliance with OSHA standards.
  • Ensure department compliance with all health and safety regulations.
  • Ensure accurate key control.
  • Work with other departments to maintain AAA 3 diamond or higher standards for the property.
  • Assure that inventory of the rooms is up-to-date in accordance with established requirements
  • Clean assigned guest rooms, according to preset standards and procedures. Duties include, but are not limited to making beds, replenishing linens, cleaning bathrooms and vacuuming.
  • Replenish supplies such as drinking glasses, writing supplies, and bathroom items according to preset standards and procedures
  • Report maintenance problems immediately.

Housekeeping Supervisor

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, a related Business discipline or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of two years housekeeping experience in addition to one year of supervisory experience or equivalent preferred. Comprehensive knowledge of housekeeping procedures, inventories, equipment and chemicals required. Strong communication skills required.

Housekeeping Supervisor Duties Include But Not Limited To:

  • Hire, manage and direct housekeeping staff with consult of Granlibakken, to accomplish tasks assigned to the Department.
  • Work with other departments to maintain AAA 3 diamond or higher standards for the property.
  • Assure that inventory of the rooms is up-to-date in accordance with established requirements
  • Clean assigned guest rooms, according to preset standards and procedures. Duties include, but are not limited to making beds, replenishing linens, cleaning bathrooms and vacuuming.
  • Replenish supplies such as drinking glasses, writing supplies, and bathroom items according to preset standards and procedures
  • Report maintenance problems immediately.
  • Follow established chemical procedures and key control procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Housekeeping Supervisor Job Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience: Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of cleaning equipment, methods, and chemicals also preferred.
  • Good English communication skills required for interaction with hotel guests and staff.

Housekeeper/Houseman Duties Include But Not Limited To:

  • Operation of cleaning equipment.
  • Maintain facility in a sanitary and infection-free condition through washing, and cleaning.

Housekeeper/Houseman Job Qualifications:

  • Experience is not necessary for all Housekeeping positions.
  • Paid training for eager individuals willing to learn.
